Goblin Slayer Episode 05 starts with Goblin Slayer checking the fence of Ushikai Musume’s house for any goblin scouting during the night. She asks him if he is okay since he is been asleep for 3 days. He replied that he is okay and feeling well. Then they go out to the Guild together.
Elsewhere, In a sewer a young rookie porcelain rank adventurer boy and a young Priestess girl fighting some big sewers rat and some giant spider-like creatures. While killing, the boy adventurer’s short sword stuck on the body of a dead rat. Without a weapon, he and the rookie priestess escaped from the sewer and come back to the guild. They ask Uketsuke-jou if they could get the rewards. She says that they can’t because they didn’t complete their mission.

In the Meantime, High Elf, Dwarf and Lizardmen came and asks him if he is okay. Then they ask for some cheese. Goblin Slayer gave them some cheese from the cart. They tell Goblin Slayer that they are going for some more Ruins survey and asks him to join them. Goblin Slayer tells them, he will think about it.
After that, he goes to a Blacksmith shop in the guild to repair his weapons and ask him for a scroll. The Blacksmith tells him that it’s not easy to get a scroll and it costs a lot of money. Goblin Slayer says he will pay any amount necessary. Then the Blacksmith tells him, he will buy one for him if anyone brings one for selling. When he left the shop, he met with the Priestess ( Onna Shinkan ). The Priestess tells him that she is promoted to 9th position from 10th. She thanks Goblin Slayer and go-to the church to give the good news to the Mother Superior of the Church.

Meanwhile, the young adventurer and the young rookie Priestess looking for a weapon but they don’t have any money to purchase anything. They look everywhere for borrowing some weapon but they couldn’t find any. They go-to the Majo for a weapon but couldn’t get any. But the Majo gave them a candle which will be become really hot if their desired object is nearby. The boy adventurer took it. Then they ask their friends for loaning some weapon but they refused and told them to seek help from the Guild. The boy and girl adventurer then go-to Uketsuke-jou, asks her for help. She suggested that they should go to the other adventurers for help. They see Goblin Slayer but hesitates to asks him but Uketsuke-jou tells them that he will not mind if they ask him anything.
The boy and girl rookie adventurer then asks Goblin Slayer what should they do if they lost their sword in a fight. He says they should steal one from the goblins. The Boy adventurer replies that they are not fighting any goblins. Then Goblin Slayer suggests him to use a Club to fight because they can hurt others and easy to use.
When Goblin Slayer leaving the Guild, Uketsuke-jou asks him to an observer in the promotion exam for adventurers. At first, he refused but later agreed to do it.
The Boy adventurer and the rookie girl Priestess goes to the sewer again with the candle that Majo gave them. The boy has a Club for weapon and uses it to beat some rats. Then he saved the rookie Priestess of his party from the giant spider. By using the candle the boy located the sword in the spider’s belly. After that, he fought and killed the spider and retrieve his sword.

In the Guild, a Scout adventurer taking the promotion exam. Uketsuke-jou asks him about his new shoes and clothes. He lied about that but the truth detecting Priestess caught that. He actually found a treasure and sold it without guilds Knowledge. So, Uketsuke-jou demoted him to porcelain rank. The adventurer gets angry and asks Goblin Slayer for help. Goblin Slayer tells him that he never helps someone who cheats with others. Then the adventurer left angrily.
Elsewhere, The boy adventurer and the rookie Priestess celebrating their win with other members of the guild. In the meantime, Uketsuke-jou finished her exam. After the exam Goblin Slayer left the room. Uketsuke-jou and the Truth-Seeking Priestess talk about Goblin Slayer and the demoted adventurer a little and how he could cause a problem in the city and guild. Then Suddenly Goblin Slayer came with a sealed latter about goblin slaying request………….
