Tokyo Ghoul:re Episode 18 Name: Face Effulgence

In the previous episode of Toky Ghoul:re, we see that how Kaneki established GOAT and what is the goal of the organization.

Summary of the Episode:

In this episode, we see Furuta Souta ( Nimura Furuta) became the new director of CCG. In a meeting with Juuzou, Morgan, Kori Ui and Kuroiwa Iwao. Nimura announced that the attackers of CCG branches may attack headquarter of CCG. So he will keep Juuzou in the headquarters as Nimura wish that Juuzou could be the next Arima.

Members of Mysterious Ghoul group Clowns

As Nimura predicted, ghoul dressed as the clown and attacks different wards and people gathering like a festival or Fair. Iwao Kuroiwa and Kuramoto Itou and their team go the 9th Ward festival to save people but there was explosion everywhere. In the 18 Ward, Mougan fought with the clowns and regain control of the place using his Quinque Higher Mind.

In the 2nd Ward, Quinx Squad is fighting with the clowns but they are taking too much time because of the explosion and fire. Urie suspects that someone must be controlling them and he noticed some inside the building. So he goes inside the building to find the ghoul.

Donato Porpora is choking Kuki Urie

After a while later, he found SS rate ghoul Donato Porpora aka Priest. Urie tries to fight with Porpora but he couldn’t get a proper hit on him. After fighting for a while Donato Porpora pinned Urie with the ceiling and told him that the investigator previously arrested him is his father Mikito Urie. Donato taunts Kuki Urie and he almost killed him but that turned out to be Donato Porpora’s finger. By trying too hard, Kuki Urie lost his control over his ghoul side and goes berserk. When Saiko Yonebayashi saw Urie’s condition she started to fight with him. After a long fight with Urie, Saiko finally able to calm him when she hugged him. Urie finally regained his composure and lose his consciousness for a while.

Juuzou and his team members before fighting with the clowns

Meanwhile, in the headquarters, the clowns attached. So, Juuzou and his team are fighting with them. After fighting for a while they realized that something is wrong with the masked clown ghouls. When Juuzou cuts one of the masks of a clown, he saw a normal human whose mouth is stitched. Then they understand that the real Clowns members are controlling them. Every member CCG in 9th, 2nd and 18th Ward discover that there are human mixed with ghouls in clown masks.

When Juuzou understands that there is human mixed with clown ghouls, he instructs his team members to check the person before trying to kill them. Then Suddenly, SS rate ghoul No Face ( Uta) attacks Juuzou but he defended well and cuts a little on Uta’s masks. Uta used his power and created an illusion of Shinohara who was Juuzou’s mentor. Because of that Juuzou lost his composure and couldn’t attack Uta. When Uta is going hit Juuzou with his Kagune, Team member of Juuzou Hanbee Abara cut the illusion and saved him. Then Uta runs away from there.

New CCG Director Satou Furuta & the new Quinx Squad Oggai led by Tooru Mutsuki

In CCG headquarters, Souta Furuta ( Nimura Furuta) as a director of CCG has introduced some major policy change in the operation of CCG. He introduced a new Quinx Squad called Oggai with Tooru Mutsuki as the leader. As there first task Oggai members beheaded some clowns member of Clowns. Nimura announced that the new policy of CCG will be the total annihilation of every ghoul in Tokyo. By hearing that every member of CCG cheered loudly ………
